Salad -the most healthiest dish one can ever have. Not everyone likes salad, a thought of having greens for lunch or dinner it’s kinda opposite to deliciousness. But as today, when we go for groceries we can find many options available at supermarket to buy healthy ingredients for salad which can be tasty as well as delicious; And must say without sacrificing the taste we like to have. So, In conclusion, No Compromise!!!
Remembering the old days, when I never thought of eating salad at home or at any restaurant. But as some one said, we have to take a first step to initiate or start a good habit. And started trying so many salad recipes and explored many places that serves best healthy Salad options. And finally,I can say that I am liking it….
I had some leftover cooked beans in my refrigerator and wanted to try new salad recipe with greens and dressings, it came out so well and thought of sharing it with you guys.
1 cup Cooked/Canned Kidney Beans
1 1/2 cup Shredded Lettuce
1 cup cut cucumber
1/4 cup Sliced Onions
1/2 cup Sliced Carrots
1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
1/4 sliced green sweet peppers ( Can be used any)
salt to taste
3 Tbs Spicy Mayo (Add 1 part Sriracha sauce to 4 part Mayonnaise, you can adjust spice level by adding more/less Sriracha.) Or Thousand Island Dressing
1 Tbs Roasted Red pepper Dressing
2 Tbs fried Onions
Dried Herbs or black Pepper for toppings
- Mix all the dry ingredients in a bowl.
- Add dressings, Fried onions and herbs on top of it.
- And its ready to serve.
